About

Miles Tremaine Brautigam was born in Lebanon, NH and raised in Westminster West, VT. He is now based in Brooklyn, NY, after living for some time in Portland, ME; North Adams; MA; Paris, FR, and Berlin, DE. Having studied studio art at The Putney School, and political philosophy at Bowdoin College, his work aims to be both authorial and collaborative. In various media, he considers memory and material; the limits to communication; the impulse toward shared meaning-making. The practice is a type of storytelling, informed by moments in one’s own psyche, social life, and movement through the world. Recent work explores connection, repetition, and the unconscious, as well as literary criticism.

Much love and gratitude to all those who have shown up, stuck around, and given support.
